Google Meet Hardware

Launching Series One to the World

Introducing Google's next generation of video conferencing hardware.

Our team was tasked with launching Google Meet Series One, a new line of video conferencing hardware designed to transform collaboration in the modern workplace. The challenge was to introduce an entirely new hardware ecosystem while helping organizations understand how these devices could elevate remote communication.

The result was a comprehensive product launch spanning naming, digital experience design, product storytelling, and video production.

The Challenge

Introduce a new category of Google Meet hardware and help organizations understand how it improves workplace collaboration.

Google’s Meet ecosystem includes multiple hardware partners—Logitech, ASUS, Acer, Jamboard, and others. The launch needed to clearly communicate how these devices fit together while helping potential buyers quickly understand which solutions were right for their environments.

The experience needed to balance education and inspiration, presenting technical hardware information in a way that was approachable, visually engaging, and aligned with Google’s minimalist design philosophy.

Our Strategy

Our approach centered on building a cohesive product ecosystem narrative that could support both discovery and purchasing decisions.

Key strategic pillars included:

Product Ecosystem Clarity
Rather than presenting devices as isolated products, we structured the experience around the Google Meet hardware ecosystem, helping users understand how each device fits into different workplace environments.

User-Centered Information Architecture
We began with extensive wireframing and site mapping to design an experience that allowed users to quickly navigate complex product information. Sorting filters and structured product comparisons helped users identify the right solution for their needs.

Hardware Storytelling
Hands-on testing of the hardware allowed us to identify the most compelling features and real-world use cases. These insights informed the product narratives, visuals, and supporting media throughout the site.

Brand Alignment
All work adhered closely to Google’s brand guidelines, ensuring the experience felt consistent with the broader Google product ecosystem while still highlighting the unique capabilities of Meet hardware.

Video Production

To support the launch, we produced both animated and live-action product videos showcasing real-world meeting scenarios and highlighting key device capabilities. These videos helped translate complex hardware features into intuitive visual stories.

Impact

Product Naming
Our team helped define the Series One product naming framework, establishing a clear identity for the new generation of Meet hardware.

Launch Website
I designed and launched a dedicated website that serves as a central hub for Meet hardware, featuring:

  • Series One Room Kits

  • Jamboard

  • Logitech Meet hardware

  • ASUS and Acer solutions

The site provides product comparisons, feature highlights, and guidance to help users locate sellers.

The final result was a cohesive digital presence that made it easier for businesses to explore, understand, and adopt Google Meet hardware solutions.
